Caged Bamboo - Necklace (Black or White)

This necklace is inspired by the Feng Shui plant called “lucky bamboo”. It was created in hopes of bringing good luck and fortune to those who wear it.

In a “lucky bamboo” plant, the spiral shapes are created by regularly rotating the plant so that it will grow towards the sunlight. 

In order to create this pendant, I imagined what if this bamboo was rotated 175 times over a 2 year period. The result is this exotic and organically shaped piece

The pendant is long, slender, and elegant. 

Also included is a shiny, 18 inch silver plated chain.

This pendant is part of my “Eco Friendly” collection where the piece is inspired by nature and crafted in an environmentally friendly manner that generates minimal environmental waste.  It has been fabricated from strong nylon fibers which were fused together by a laser.

Afterwards, it was hand dyed (white version was kept natural) and finished with a clear coating to protect it from stains.
